Homelands

This series was made over a three year period, between 2000 and 2003, based at the English Department of the University of Southampton as an Arts and Humanities Research Board Fellow in the Creative and Performing Arts.

It looked at my HIV virus and the outside world that I lived in, I chose three general locations that have been home to me over the years. Northern India (Delhi, UP, Rajasthan), Montreal & New York, and London.

I made individual negatives in the different locations and the diptychs were put together and scanned during an artist's residency at Light Work in Syracuse, USA in 2003.
